There was an engine oil warning on the dashboard of a BMW E60 2009. Today I’m going to use the Autel MaxiCOM MK808 diagnostic tool to reset oil.
Plug Autel MK808 connector into OBD2 port, press
Diagnostics >> BMW >> Automatic selection >> Read >> OK >>Yes
Hot functions >> Condition based service reset KWP >> Yes
Date and time were set successfully in the vehicle.
Condition-based service(CBS) contents are being read.
Please wait...
Select “Engine oil” option, press “Reset”
Performing condition eased service(CBS) reset...
As you can see, the engine oil availability changed from 0% to 100%
And the engine oil warning has gone!
The oil reset was done!
This is using Autel MK808 Scan Tool to perform oil reset on a BMW E60 2009. It also has other special reset functions such as BMS reset, IMMO service, ABS bleeding, steering angle sensor, electronic parking brake service...etc.
