I’m going to show a short demonstration of how to use Autel MaxiCOM MK808 to perform SRS reset for an Audi. This tutorial is also applied to other VAG cars such as VW, Seat & Skoda.
I am in an Audi now and there is an airbag warning light on the dashboard.
Plug the connector of Autel MK808 to OBD2 port, then go to the tablet:
Diagnostics >> European >> Audi >> System selection
Control unit >> 15-Airbag >> Trouble codes
There is one trouble code here: B100B1B - passive/sporadic- driver thorax airbag igniter, resistance too high.
I found a loose connection underneath the driver’s seat, and I had put that back together. But there was still an airbag light on the dashboard.
So I will reset it with the MK808 scanner. Press “Clear DTC”.
Ignition on and engine off? Press “Yes”.
DTCs and freeze data will be deleted. Press “Yes” to continue.
No fault codes detected, press “OK”. The airbag warning light has gone!
Autel MK808 OBD2 Scanner allows to do 19 kinds of special reset service like oil reset, EPB, SAS, TPMS, DPF, BMS, IMMO, ABS bleeding...as well.
