Benz Sprinter, 2018 Nissan Frontier, 2010 Chevrolet Express Airbag Light Reset OK with Autel MaxiLink ML629.
1. Benz Sprinter Airbag Light Reset ok
Having recently accidentally triggered my Benz Sprinter airbag light when removing and converting my front double seat to single, I really didn't fancy going to the Main Stealer, so following some research on the VW forums (I have the Crafter) I purchased the Auto MaxiLink ML629 which was highly recommended in clearing SRS codes.
I contacted the scanner ups correctly, choosing EU, then VW, but no option on vehicle to select, so I thought damn it, it wouldn't connect, so went back to vehicle selection, and selected SPRINTER, chose my year, and boom, I'm in, one code showing, SRS (airbag), selected erase code, and it did it, happy days.
Just thought I would share, so other Sprinter owners will now know, that Auto MaxiLink ML629 scanner will clear SRS and will no doubt clear ABS codes too.
I fit a 3.3ohms resistor to the yellow centre seat plug when I removed the double seat, but there was a bad connection, so soldered the wires directly to the resistor, and now reset the SRS, so no dash light.
2. 2018 Nissan Frontier Airbag Light Reset ok
I had a basic scanner that only read MIL codes. I had an airbag light on my 2018 Nissan Frontier after removing the front passenger seat and part of the dash to add accessories. The dealership wouldn't fix it even though the truck is under warranty since I had removed and reinstalled pieces of the interior. When Auto MaxiLink ML629 arrived, I did read the manual and went out and connected it, but had communication errors and I noticed it only went to 2015. The instructions on updating seemed clear, but didn't work. I downloaded the software and registered my device, but on 2 windows machines and 1 mac, following the process of pressing the left key and connecting the usb cable did nothing. A quick google search led me to an Autel video telling me to remove the SD card from the scanner and connecting that to my computer. Worked like a charm, the software picked it right up and showed me a ton of updates. After that, the scanner was fully functional in my truck and the codes were cleared in minutes...problem solved.
3. 2010 Chevrolet Express LT AWD Airbag Light Reset ok
Works great on my 2010 Chevrolet Express LT AWD. Airbag light came on, used tool to diagnose and fixed myself. Saved hundreds vs getting it done at the dealer.
